Rangihoua Estate has large and wonderfully secluded sub-tropical garden, situated next to the tasting room courtyard.
The gardens are sheltered on three sides by mature bush – nikau palm trees, punga ferns, manuka, kanuka and a range of other native species. The olive grove and native forest offers excellent protection from any prevailing wind, creating a natural amphitheatre and making it a great outdoor venue.
The large lawn has enough space for a couple of marquees, food stalls, a stage and of course, room for lots of people to sit, relax, dance and mingle.
We host a range of different events through-out the Summer season:
- We are home to the bi-annual Waiheke Olive Festival – usually held in November featuring live music, lots of delicious local artisan food and of course, a range of olive products produced on Waiheke.
- We host The Waiheke International Jazz Festival annually which takes place Easter weekend each year.
- Since our stage is set up in the grounds permanently over Summer, we also host a number of other one-off concerts, charity events and more.
