WAIHEKE ISLAND OLIVE FESTIVAL 2010
The dates for this years festival have been announced.
Located at Rangihoua Estate, the festival will take place on November 20th and 21st from 11am-4pm.
Last year we had over 2,000 visitors tasting 9 different Waiheke grown olive oils brands. The place was buzzing with people, food, art, wine and song in the olive grove.

Olives, jazz, food, art, wine and song in the olive grove.
Tempt your taste buds. Visitors could meet the olive growers, taste the new season olive oil releases, recognised as some of the best in the world & buy at festival prices. The island’s olive harvest has high recognition from New Zealand awards to international acclaim. The olive tasting room served delectable foods including oysters, paella, pizza, coffee and Waiheke Island wines.
Free cooking demonstrations by inspirational cooks. Fresh flavours using extra virgin olive oil with Cable Bay chef, Will Thorpe; Pippa Cuthbert, international cook book author and food editor Next magazine and Waiheke foodwriter and cook, Sarah La Touche.
Free seminars were given each day including an appreciation of extra virgin olive oil, the elixir for life, with New Zealand's olive oil specialist Margaret Edwards and tours of the Rangihoua olive press room.
Sculpture walk in the grove, Art Out There, from Waiheke Community Art Gallery showcased art for the outdoors.
